- צְהַבch. sam( Hif. הצְהִיב to become shining); Part. pass. צְהִיב grieved. Lev. R. s. 9 (read:) כדו דאפיך צְהִיבִיןוכ׳ now that you grieve so much, we will go with you Pa. צַהֵב to grieve, provoke. Targ. 1 Sam. 1:6. Af. אַצְהֵיב to be angry. Koh. R. to III, 6 עבד גרמיה מַצְהִיב עם בריה he pretended to be angry with his son.
